The Drive Expedition Aluminum Transport Chair is available in 2 vibrant colors. The loop locks enhance the ease of braking for the person assisting the user and the huge 12” rear wheels permit the chair to move smoothly indoors and out, over any surface. It also features padded armrests, an adjustable seat belt, and comfortable nylon upholstery. The back easily folds down using the handy lever on the chair's back for transport and storage. Plus, the swing-away leg rests make it easy to fit into small spaces as they are easily removed.
We have an older Drive transport chair. It is much heavier than this one. This new one also has hand brakes versus the levers down by the wheels which had to be foot actuated or reach down to activate. This unit has larger rear wheels and moves better on carpeting.
I highly recommend this product.
I'm glad I purchased this chair it is so lightweight that if you are able, it can be lifted with one hand/arm. Worthwhile purchase!
It has exceeded our expectations. Can be transported easily and my aunt lives it.
How do I lock the brakes ,so I can go to the front of the chair to help husband to get out ,and the right side of the back will not click in far enough to hold the back up. Is there a way I can fix these two things myself
My Transport Wheelchair
My Transport Wheelchair has all of the features I had been looking for rolled up into this one chair. Now that I have it I appreciate the fact it is of the best quality in materials and in
workmanship. Being of short stature, if the arms of the chair were lower, I would not need as much assistance in getting up and out of it. I need to be able to brace myself on the armrests to help lift me up and to stay up without falling back into the chair. It could be no lower than about one inch. Otherwise, it is quite handsome and useful.
