These forearm crutches from Medline have been built tough to last, making them a great choice for long term use. To increase these crutches' durability, they use heavy-walled, high-strength aluminum tubing that protects against bending and denting. For a better fit, these forearm crutches use arm cuffs with a 4' diameter that contour to the user's arms. Plus, you can adjust both the leg and forearm sections of the crutch so you can find your perfect fit - which is important for long-term use. The cuff can adjust from 7" to 10" in height.
There are 3 sizes to choose from: Youth, Adult, and Tall. See the chart below for specific handle height adjustments for each of the 3 different crutch sizes:
Crutch Size | Handle Height | User Height |
---|---|---|
Youth | 32.5" to 44" | 4'2" to 5'2" |
Adult | 38.5" to 50" | 5' to 6'2" |
Tall Adult | 42.5" to 53" | 5'10" to 6'6" |
I have had Medline Forearm Crutches before but the latest version are much more cheaply made. The cuffs are made for a very large person and cannot be adjusted like previous models
The product was not useful to me as the forearm grips were too open and the crutch could not be "hooked" to my arm. I use crutches that hang from my forearm when I open a door or turn on the lights. There was no way to close it. I liked the length of the crutches that fit my height. I had to donate them to charity as i didn't have time to send them back.
I walk with them--polio survivor.
They are light and noiseless
The arm bands are way too big. I would not recommend them.
If you're in need of long term crutches that won't become uncomfortable, look no further than these Medline forearm crutches. These adult crutches will comfortably fit a wide range of users from 5' to 6'2" in height. The best feature of these ergonomic crutches is the arm cuff. Made of soft plastic and contoured to fit securely around your arms, they provide you with better control over the crutch's movement without hindering comfort. For an improved fit, you can adjust the length of these forearm crutches between the crutch pads and the cuff, so you can always have your arms in their most comfortable position. The crutch tips are also made of durable rubber, increasing the time between crutch tip replacements.
