Yep, it’s that time of year once again-- the holiday shopping season. If you’re not sure what to get your senior parents, allow us to make a few suggestions:
1. Walking Aid
As a walking aid supplier, we’re obviously biased. But we’ve also seen how much older loved ones can benefit from the right walking aid, whether it be a cane, traditional walker, or a rollator which doesn’t offer quite as much stability as a traditional walker, but does allow seniors to move quicker, walker farther, and stay more active.
2. Bird Feeder
Do your parents like watching birds (or squirrels, which bird feeders inevitably attract)? If so, a bird feeder will be a simple fun way to brighten their day.
3. Scrapbooks and/or Videos
Scrapbooks full of family photos or custom made videos compiling fond memories can make cherished, nostalgic mementos for seniors to cherish.
4. Food Baskets
Who doesn’t like food? Whether your parents are into chocolates, cheeses, fruits, meats, or all of the above, a food basket is a delicious treat for loved ones of all ages.
5. Blankets/Throws
Blankets make the perfect gifts. They’re extremely practical, decorative, great for the cold winter months, and remind your parents how much you care. These days there are plenty of websites where you can buy customized blankets, or you can try making your own.
