Transport Chair/Rollators combine all the features of a 4 wheel rollator and transport chair in one unit. With the Drive Duet Transport Chair/Rollator, an individual can ambulate independently or, if need be, be pushed safely by a caregiver. The contoured, padded backrest is reversible depending on whether you are using the Duet in rolling walker or transport chair mode. The transition is easy and requires no tools. Both modes make use of the ergonomic handles, large 8” wheels, and secure loop-lock brakes. When used as a transport wheelchair, this rollator combination features a fold-down footrest for better comfort. Both the seat and the curved backrest are padded for comfort. This 4 wheel walker will work equally well both indoors and out, making it extremely versatile.
The Drive Duet Rollator/Transport Chair also features a large under-seat pouch for the safe storage of personal items. Inside the pouch is a handle to aid with the folding of the chair. The folding frame has a lock out feature to ensure the walking aid stays open while in use and folded during transport.

5 stars, COMFORTABLE, CONVENIENT & COMPACT
By Laraze from Roseville, CA on 2012-08-31
My husband has used this as a walker, but mostly we've used it as a transporter for him. It's fairly light-weight and easy to move in and out of our vehicle. As my husband's care-giver, this has been a huge help to me.

4 stars, Life made Easier
By Diane from Toms River, NJ on 2012-08-04
We received the product in time to take on vacation for my 87 year old mom to use. She wanted to feel independent while walking and also have the diversity of having a seat when tired. We had to use a pillow however for added comfort if sitting for any period of time. The walker worked out quite well on vacation.

Delayed 12 hrs in Nevada airport and my rollator was a blessing, whether to sit or be transported about.Immediate access from plane and shuttle. Need to be careful not to tip over. Will take more trips not that I have it, Wish it was motorized!!

3 stars, Recommended, with Caveats
By Loving Daughter from Littleton, CO on 2012-03-13
Pros: Storage bin, Transport chair feature
Cons: No Beverage Holder, Wobbles when being pushed, Does not fold flat
Best Uses: Temporary needs, Shopping-no chairs nearby
My mother has had multiple surgeries on one leg and needs to rest often, so the seat comes in very handy. She says she hits her knees on the seat when walking, though. When overly tired, the transport feature is useful. However, when pushing her in the chair, I found it was quite wobbly even at a very slow pace.

4 stars, Great product for travel
By Ardy from Minneapolis, MN on 2012-01-18
Pros: Converts quickly
Best Uses: Used it on our train trip
We traveled by train and needed it as a walker most times, but when the distance from one place to another was too much, we could quickly use it as a chair to push. The footrest is the best--so quick and easy.

Fast delivery service. Smooth rolling. Will tip over forward at the smallest crack or bump.

-
- Are any accessories available for this model?

-
- How do you fold (and open) the transport chair? How do I get directions for use, which did not come with the walker. Thank you.
- To fold and open the chair, you have to twist the red knob on the right hand side (when it is a rollator position) to the left to unlock the chair. From here, it will either fold in or out like an accordion. Once the chair is folded in (or out), please lock the chair into place using the same red knob. Please review the product video on this page as it demonstrates out to fold open and close the chair.

-
- Does the drive duet rollator walker come in a size for those under 5'2"? Or can it work comfortably for those of smaller stature?
- The Drive Duet Rollator's average user height is 5'3 - 6'0. The handle height can be adjusted down to 31.5''. This item may not be comfortable for those that are under 5'2. At this time, Drive does not have a rollator made for shorter individuals. I suggest looking at the Mabis Rollator/Transport chair as the average user height is 5'2 - 5'11.
