The Mabis 3-Wheel Aluminum Rollator offers the convenience and mobility assistance of a traditional rollator (also called a rolling walker) in a much more compact device. This 3 wheel rollator comes with an oversized pouch and a wire basket with a flip-up tray top to store a generous amount of personal items. The frame is constructed of a lightweight aluminum frame with a swiveling front wheel for maneuverability. All the wheels are made from urethane and will not go flat. This already compact rollator offers easy folding for storage and transport. Three wheeled rollators provide an efficient and equally useful alternative to traditional 4-wheel rollators while maintaining stability and durability. They are perfect for those with busy and active lifestyles.

3 stars, Built well but overpriced
By Jeff from Orlando, FL on 2012-12-10
Pros: Well constructed, Good height adjustment, Larger wheels than most
Cons: Found Similar Models Chpr, No More Compact Than, Difficult Brake Lock, 4 Wheel Models, Tray Smaller Than Adphoto
I bought the rollator for my mom to use in her compact motor home, but unfortunately it is no more compact than her 4 wheel model, so she can only use it on her outdoor porch. The tray looked much larger in the ad photos. Her arthritic hands are not strong enough to lock the hand brakes.

Questions on Mabis 3 Wheel Aluminum Rollator
-
- My Mom is about 4'10", would she be able to use this comfortably?
- This rollator should fit her comfortable, but you can measure from where her hands comfortably bend to the floor and make sure it is within the 31"-37" range this rollator provides. This rollator is designed to fit most adults.

-
- Could a slim person sit on the tray -- perhaps on a folded coat or cushion?
- While it may possible for a slim person to position themselves in a way to sit on the tray of the 3-Wheel Aluminum Rollator, we do not advise anyone to use the tray and basket feature as a seat. It was built to serve the purpose of supporting only limited weight. In addition, sitting on the tray would limit the ability to use the handle bar brakes.

-
- Are the basket and tray removable when folded up?
- The bag, basket and tray are all removable, although only the tray and basket would need to be removed for the walker to fold. The basket hangs from two basket clips on the front of the rollator. The basket easily releases by pulling up on the basket. The tray is removable from the basket and allows access to the basket.

- I am trying to decide between aluminum and steel three-wheel rollators (this is to replace the one my mother had for five years, which was damaged by airline in transit--frame bent out of alignment and rollator no longer would open or close). What are the advantages and disadvantages of steel vs aluminum frame?
- Typically the major advantage that aluminum walkers or rollators have over their steel counter-parts is how lightweight the frame of the product is. In 3 wheel rollators for example, the Winnie Lite Supreme 3 Wheel Aluminum Rollator weighs 9 lbs. and the Winnie Deluxe 3 Wheel Steel Rollator weighs 13 lbs. Some customers actually prefer a steel frame though, because the steel is less likely to bend or buckle over a long course of time.

- Delta made a 3 wheel rollator with a narrow wheel width of 20" but it has been discontinued. Are there any 3 wheel rollators on the market that have a narrow width? My mother lives in a small house with narrow doors and really needs to be able to maneuver through tight spaces. Please help! Thanx...
- We are unaware of any 3-wheel rollator which is that narrow. The most narrow rollator that we carry is the Let's Go Rollator which is just under 22" wide.
